crack. flowing forth
spreading the rays of gold
trimmed with a tinge
of argent. hold up.
heat unbearable
pressure gets to you
on that slate grey field
of succinct succulence.
a sizzle in the air
as the glorious smell of life wafts
to the olfactory. And still
it goes on. And it is done.
“Fried egg, anyone?”
